At Home Pedicure: Try Doing It Yourself

By Boyce Ernzen

If you want to use pedicure and massage and build a web business from the ground up, then you simply have to accept the fact that daily decision making is part of the game. Those who are more experienced will have passed many trials by fire in that regard.

If you find that terribly disconcerting, then it is all right if you can get past it and keep momentum going. One easy solution is to outsource everything, but that is actually not the best thing to do. Mistakes are part of it all, and there is no escaping that simple fact of business life. Once you have have survived for a while, then you will see your mistakes dwindling in numbers. Often times all you need to do is take enough action with any new method, or group of them, that you employ in your business.

Basically, this is all about buyer beware, and you have the responsibility to take care of your self. There are those who will sell you just about anything while telling you it is some undiscovered method that not too many know about yet, those should be alarms. That experience is very common with web marketers who are relatively new and with little experience. Even though we are presenting you with these techniques, we will tell you to have restraint and continue to learn more about them. That is a habit worth developing because at some point along the line it will serve you very well. However, most people aren't exactly excited about the idea of professional pedicures. Professional pedicures involve using the same tools that have been used on multitudes of other people and you can't tell those tools are clean. Luckily, giving yourself a pedicure is something you can do. Here is how you can do your own pedicures without ever leaving your home.

To start, you need to remove any existing polish using a non-acetone polish remover (acetone can cause a number of health problems). Clip your toenails straight across and use a nail file to file down any roughness. See to it that you use a toenail clipper for this and not a fingernail clipper. Clippers designed for clipping fingernails are curved and can make your toenails become ingrown and begin hurting.

Soak your feet in a bath. Make sure to keep your feet in the bath for at least three minutes-ish. In addition, you can try mixing things to the warm water like bath salts, skin soothers and softeners and aromatherapy ingredients. This can turn the foot bath into a seriously soothing experience and help your feet feel truly good. Almost every bath and body aisle of stores sell things to make a foot bath better. Obviously, a few might cost a little more but pick the ones you like most.

Use a pumice stone to get rid of any rough spots or calluses that could still be there after the foot soak. Avoid using callus shavers or something similar. A plain and good old pumice stone should be sufficient.

After you're through with the pumice stone, it is time to rinse off your feet. When you have rinsed away the dust from the pumice stone and your calluses and any foot soak-ness that remains, it is time to apply some moisturizing lotion. You can see many different types of moisturizing lotions produced specifically for the feet. Avoid trying to rub in the lotion (but if you're in a rush this can be sufficient). Try to massage in the lotion if you can. The massage is beneficial for the rest of your body, not just your feet.

After your feet are squeaky clean, callus free and moisturized, it is time to make them gorgeous. This isn't vital but it can do wonders for your self-esteem to know that, even if they are enclosed in shoes, your toes are beautiful. Try pushing back your cuticles with the use of a cuticle pusher (the trimmers will cut your skin and cause infections). Put on a coat of nail strengthening polish. And after that dries, you can use whatever color of nail polish that you would like.

At-home pedicures can be done pretty quickly and are commonly more cost effective than those that you would get professionally. DIY pedicures are great for your whole body health, so get going!

The volume of information on the net related to doing business is simply staggering, and we understand if you feel like that at times. One thing we want to say about pedicure at home, and that is you should look beyond what has been discussed here today because there is so much more. Now what you want to do, or should do, after reading this is go out and find out more.
