The Health Benefits Of Juicing Wheatgrass

The normal blenders, grinders and the mixers are not always suitable for juicing wheatgrass. This is due to their speedy blade movement which destroys the nutrients leaving it with no nutrients at all. The manual grinders made from stones are always the best in this case; one can always control the speed at which they are grinding the grass thus preserving most of the important nutrients.

The first step is to use a pair of scissors or knife to cut the grass half an inch above the surface. After cutting the grass, the leaves should be washed using clean water. After washing, the leaves should be crushed to make a fine paste. Using a mortar and a pestle in grinding the grass, one should always use a clean muslin cloth in a clean container to strain the juice until the grass turns white in color.

One can also use a juicer instead of manual grinders. However, they will have to stick to the manufacturer manual. Electric juicers should be used at very low speed. This is because the extremely high speeds oxides the grass and makes its fiber to bind.

After making the juice, it is usually advisable to clean the juicer immediately. This is because if left to stay for long, it usually sticks and become very difficult to remove. Cleaning it immediately will ensure that it is sufficiently cleaned and ready for use when needed.

The advantages of juicing cannot always be overlooked. As people continue to look for healthy ways to eat and live, taking fruit juice has become very popular. When eating various fruits and vegetables, people usually throw away the peeling and seeds. However, these parts are always very nutritious. Good juicers usually crush these parts and extract juice from them.

Research has also shown that consuming raw fruits, fresh juice included has the benefit of aiding weight loss. Skin conditions like the skin eruptions, dryness and oiliness are also improved. The hair also grows longer, thicker and stronger while at the same time there is reduced dandruff in the head.

Juicing also helps the digestive system of the body to function perfectly well. This helps in reducing problems like constipation, colon cancer and also has some cleansing effect. The nutrients in the fresh blended juice can also be absorbed easily than in raw fruits. Most fruits and vegetables literally lock fiber. This makes it very difficult for the body to utilize these nutrients. Juicing wheatgrass will help unlock these nutrients thus enabling the body to utilize them accordingly.
