A new trend lately is to try to go with an obscure ring idea. To me this is probably similar to the idea of a bride wearing unconventionally colored wedding dresses, in that the fad will go in and out. With that being said, there are however definitely some cool ideas out there for unique engagement rings. Let's take a look at a few of them.
Engagement rings that interlock with wedding bands are being seen more frequently in the ring industry. When a woman gets married, she wears both her engagement ring and her wedding band on the same finger, usually. This can be very uncomfortable if you have rings that differ from one another. They now make matching sets of engagement rings and wedding bands where the two rings lock into each other to form one, beautiful ring. This is a great alternative to the classic set up.
Another recent fad is the use of movie characters and objects as forms of engagement rings. They even have rings with the Apple Computers logo engraved into them. Some of these rings have the green lantern logo, the batman symbol, or even the Lord of the Rings ring. I can't relate to this fad much, because to me it reminds me of getting a tattoo of a band you're really into that might go out of fashion down the road.
You would think that after seeing some of those science fiction rings you wouldn't see anything crazier. How about more creative?
